Worth taking in? TPMS

So I was just driving down the highway and suddenly a warning popped up. "Service TPMS." I looked at my tire pressure info screen and sure enough the right rear tire was blank.

I thought "oh great. The sensor is out." As I was pulling off the road to check for a puncture the service light went away and the tire was reading a normal level again.

For peace of mind I had my tires relearn pressure and all was still good.

So for about 20 seconds the RR tire sensor wasn't functioning.

2 questions:
1.) Would this be covered under Warranty if the sensor was bad?
2.) Since it was only down for a few seconds, would you take it in to the dealer? Or wait and see if it happens again.

Had similar situation today. Car has about 800 miles, highway driving to get to magical 1500, and TPMS system flashed on dash with active "TPMS requires service and inactive" or something like that. Dash light flashed for 1 min, then on steady.

1) tire temp still worked- showed green/normal
2) tire pressure blank
3) about 20 min later, reset and all normal...
4) restarted car, still working
5) manual states radio frequencies could cause conflict

Car is 100% stock and nothing other than iPhone plugged in.

So off to check for lose connections.

Really weird.

I have had that happen on my 5th gen's before twice, once on my 2011 and then on my 2013. Never brought it in because reading came back and since it was reading. I know the dealer would say "there's nothing they can check since its reading right now."

Low batt voltages can cause phantom alarms. Disconnecting the battery cable for 15 minutes – negative – will cause the TPMS to reset if it's software.

I just had this happen as well. 1.5 years old car.

Never happened previously but, I almost exclusively drive my car in the city. Last night went for a ~40 minute freeway drive and had the TPMS alert going to and from our destination. Both directions it came on when cruising at 70 mph. Drivers side front for my car.

After shutting down and then driving again it disappears.

Very strange.

Mine did it @ 300 miles on first long drive. Kept driving and it cycled out and never returned.

Considrring this thread... http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showth...ghlight=Recall. I dont take my car in, ever, unless it's something I cant do myself. Only took my car to the dealer once, for Mylink update(cause GM had decided we're too stupid to do it ourselves) and they sucked. Watched on my cams how bad they sucked...Seriously, don't do it. They give ZERO ****s about your car.
