Bad drivers - dash cam footage

I finally broke down and bought a dashcam. Something I had been planning to do for years. I even had a website idea at one point and just never got around to building it. abouttocrash . com - Where bad drivers drive badly. Blog style website with a small forum on the backend. Figured I could post user video's and link all the crazy russian stuff regularly.

Since I now have a dash cam figured it would be a good time to create a thread to collect all the idiots I see on a regular basis.

If any of you have dash cam videos you'd like to share feel free to post them here.

Me too and I'll keep posting them as i see them. I was driving the middle lane of the freeway the other day and saw a Toyota Land Cruiser V8 at 55 mph about 20 feet behind the car in front of it. Tailgating so hard I thought she was going to push the other car out of the way.

I tend to drive on back roads more often than not, so it's rarer to see these things happen like you do on the Interstates or in cities.

That is on option on the Z06...it's the PDR (Personal Data Recorder), and records to a SD card in the glove box. The overlay just pulls data from the car. There are 3 different overlays (or none).

DO IT! And Steve Dallas thanks for posting your video's.

Wife and I went out to dinner a couple weeks back and took uber (being responsible drinkers). The driver on the way home cut right in front of a Semi at 55 mph without a second thought or glance.

Gave me a serious WTF moment and I was looking out the window to see how close it was.

I normally wouldn't say anything, but I actually commented that "it's not the best idea to cut in front of Semi trucks as they can't react or stop quickly."

I see it happen all the time but, I'm never in the car doing it. Was really strange and surprising that someone would cut off a semi without even thinking about what they are doing. The really bizarre part is that she had absolutely no need or reason to do it - there was tons of room and no traffic.

Gotta show those buses, trains, and semi's respect on the road!

Apparently your car does the same thing mine does... randomly turns invisible.

It's the only reasonable explanation for people doing stuff like that on a fairly regular basis.

What do you guys use for dash cams? I've been thinking of getting one for years, and with the stuff I've seen lately I could definitely use one! I saw one of the events like in the OP's video just today.

Get one off of eBay for like 20 bucks. That's what I have in my Camaro and it works great
