I have done it by myself on a couple of vehicles. Make sure you have all the tools and spray solution that you need, and a heat gun or hair dryer. Was it perfect? No way. I'd expect better for sure from an installer. But I got the job done, and you can't even tell it's on there unless you get right up next to it...and add it all up I've literally saved us a few thousand dollars. I'm sorry, but I'm too cheap to pay someone hundreds or thousands for something like that.
I wish I could remember the company I've gone through for my PPF kits (damn fuzzy brain) but I think the kit for my 2016 Camaro front end was between 200 - 300 dollars. My advice...make it much easier on yourself and just try to protect the areas most hazardous to getting dinged. So yes...take that pre-cut PPF, and then cut it so that it will only lay on the front end of the car and forget about wrapping it all the way around the sides (if you are concerned about the difficulty of that). That might be crazy talk for some of you...cutting up a perfectly good PPF overlay. But it will make it much easier and you'll still protect 90% of the front end and save yourself a boat load of money. Otherwise, if you got the money to burn...burn it.

Your meaty 1LE steamrollers throw much more than the fronts on OP's vanilla SS, though. Do you have rock guards? If not, do it now, helps a lot.

Meaty steamrollers. Lol I put some acs rock guards on at 400 + miles. The mileage was from the drive home from the dealership I got it from. I would have done side skirts first if I had known the rock guards were as small as they are. |

I'll do something about the rockers and the quarter panels, the damage isn't excessive so far, I think it'll mostly buff out.
