Headed to Track have a few questions

I am going to the track this Thursday for TnT weather permitting. I have a 2016 Camaro RS with the 2.0T and A8 transmission. Everything is bone stock so I am looking to get a base line before I do any modifications so I can do an on-track comparison.

Questions:

-Recommended launch RMP?
-Roll into the throttle or drop the hammer from the hit?
-Amount of time between runs to allow car to cool?
-Use paddle shifters or allow the car to shift on its own? (Might do both for
comparison)

I have raced all my life, but they were all purpose built race cars so I am just want to make sure I understand what the car can do stock and not tear up something. LOL

At least in the ss world the auto a8 guys seem to like leaving off of idle on a stock car (the 2.0 might benefit from some rpm), and letting the car shift on its own in Drive. Make sure to play with tire pressure.

I can tell you what I did in my stock V6 with the A8 trans. Not a ton different than a stock 2.0t, so should be similar. All I did was turned off traction control completely, and foot braked to maybe 1500 rpm, then drop the hammer and let the A8 do it's work. No manual mode, paddles or anything. It's best to just let it shift on its own. I would also use sport mode as well. Time between runs didn't seem to make much difference for me. The car was pretty consistent regardless. This was on factory all season tires as well with around 35 psi all around. Ran a best of 13.6 at 104
