Which one is louder?
So in 2019, which is louder (with active exhausts from factory)? Camaro SS? Challenger/Charger Scat? Or Mustang GT? Just curious if anyone has heard each one in person...

The Dodges aren’t that loud from factory, they got some grumble but nothing too crazy. The Mustang GT is ear ringing loud from the factory but drones while you drive. The Camaro is just in the middle. Loud when you want it to be loud but doesn’t drone.
My brother had a ‘18 GT PP1 with the active exhaust. I’ll try to see if he can shoot some exhaust clips over to me so I can post it. |

I think road and track just did a comparison of SS 1LE with the new GT PP2(?) and the exhaust note was part of that comparison. IIRC they are pretty much the same db.

I would say Mustang. You gotta let the crowd know you're coming somehow!

Hard to compare due to all the packages/trim levels. I think mustangs and mopar are pretty quiet with base exhausts. My neighbor just switched to magnaflow on his challenger because it was so quiet. My car has npp and all my neighbors hear the cold start. My son told me last week that I made his room rattle. “Winning”

To be honest I've never properly heard my own exhaust outside of the cabin. But from the active exhaust Mustangs I've seen on the road it's pretty loud. I want to say louder than mine.

When I get on it in 1st or second, this thing is freakin loud, that i know for sure. I actually had a guy pull up next to me (this is in a fairly rural part of town). He was next to me at the previous light when I did a launch control 0-60 run. He pulls up at the next light and is complimenting the ride so this time he had his window down. I did another launch and afterwards i kinda felt bad because I think i might have hurt his ears. This car is loud.

Also, there are many trucks in the area I live in that are louder than our cars. This is because they are diesel and have modified exhaust so they are loud at every RPM level, unlike our cars, which can be very tame at lower RPM.

Try this: cruising through town in manual mode (A8), go about 30 mph in 3rd, and if no one is behind you pull back twice quickly on the lever. It will drop

My past 2018 Mustang GT (stock) was throaty and "loud" in my definition. I liked how loud it was and the rumble. There as absolutely no drone. It was one of the nicest things about the car.

Yeah there is no drone in the Camaro either, that's why active exhausts are so good. If I gun it under a tunnel, it is honestly deafening.

In track mode at idle (especially in the garage) I get drone but I think it’s cool.

That isn't really drone...drone is when you're just cruising on the highway and after a long time, it can get annoying since it could be the same loud noise for a while. In track mode, the valves are open if you're at idle and still, but close if you are cruising on the road, just maintaining speed.
