104 seems really low
are you at altitude...
even short shifting 1st you should see at least 107 108 on a bad run..

Your times parallel mine when I had a computer tuning issue. You don't have a GM Performance intake system do you?

104 is very low. I consider 112 low for this car.

Original Goodyears. I honestly thought i was around 3,000-3,500, but PDR had at or just below 5,000 at launch.

I had a 2004 CTS-V that I let the clutch out at low rpm, then went WOT, it bogged but was consistent...probably slower too because 60' was 2.0 at best, mostly around 2.20 I haven't tried that with the 1LE.

Its really hit or miss and takes a lot of passes to get it consistent. I try to shift without lifting, but 1-2 often spins. Its just varies from pass to pass.

A8 cars rip off perfect shifts and much easier to launch consistently, so typically a couple tenths quicker.

I have 13 passes on 3 visits so far. 7,500 miles on car.

You have an A8, so your car should be roughly 2 tenths quicker than an M6 car. The SS/1LE models have the M6 transmission.

I was going to ask that earlier since his times are so consistently bad, then the 104 mph trap, way low.
Something isn't right.

No, no modifications or stock GM performance parts.

I'm in Ohio so no altitude issues. As a follow up for anyone else I went back a few weeks later, clear sky and a warmer track. My best run was a 13.23 at 109mph. That cut off I felt I soon figured out is no lift shift which I didn't know we had so. I while very weird feeling I was using and it seemed to help. Kept it in Sport Competitive no burn outs to heat up or anything. Definitely getting better at feeling the clutch and engaging but not sure if my launch RPMs are too low. I'm launch at 3k and I feel like I'm trying to manage a lot of slip still.

I did try to do a burn out but got tons of wheel hop. I have no idea how to turn every and all nannies off so that could be why.

THIS! I've owned a 2016 1SS A8 and my current 2018 1SS 1LE, and there is no comparison of launching.

If all you want is 0-60 and 1/4 mile runs you're better off with the Auto. If handling and the fun of working a MT appeal to you then the 1LE is head and shoulders above the A8.

I grew up on manuals so the M6 is fine for me. The only adjustment I needed to make was to no lift shifting, which is cool as hell.

Running an A8 something is definitely wrong with those times. Sub 13 shouldn't be that hard to do.

I have a 2018 1SS 1LE so no auto for either. Honestly I’d rather go road racing but drag racing is just far convenient eventually though I’ll make it on a road course. I agree I love the experience of a manual as well.

I am actually surprised on some these high 12 / 13 runs. I thought for sure these would get low 12’s..easy.
I had been drag racing my hopped Old Harley the last 3 years, 12.3 @ 106 mph with 1.79 60’s this is with a 97 softail Springer, not exactly a drag bike but I made it one.
My Camaro feels ways faster! The test article put them in low 12’s so on paper it’s about as quick with that 455 hp trapping higher. My bike hooks and cooks, I have beat Vrods and big Suzuki’s a few times, just cause it leaves so well and better RT’s
Seat of the pants though, this Camaro is a big Rush, nothing like a V8 digging in and ripping off a 1320 foot smile

i think the tach is just that slow in 1st gear. my car does this, as well. the car hooks hard and works great on the street, not so much at the track.

It was a very hard thrust that threw me forward a bit. I figured it out it was the no lift shift. In Sport Competitive or Track Race Modes no-lift shift engages. When you traditionally shift while no lift shift is engaged boom it happens. Feels just like a hard fuel cut off at like 6200 rpm.

I took my 2SS to the test and tune today first time in this car.
Just for comparison first run
sport mode in Drive everything else on, just mashing the pedal
12.77 @115
Sport mode, paddle shift everything on, again mashing
12.57@110
