i like all the extra features of my 2016 Manual 2ss package.... heads up display being the main one . i also really like the blind spot monitoring ( i still look) and heated /vented seats + heated steering wheel. Never thought i would use it since i dont drive in winter but there are times when its nice to have. Then there is the multi color LED interior lighting and illuminated doorsills, memory seats, softer leather panels in the touch areas...... The 2SS package is a combination of things that make the whole experience feel more upscale to me.

1SS 1LE still has the HUD.
I had no need for heated seats (cooled would have been nice, but it's not my year round car here in MN, lives in the garage all winter), blind spot monitors, fancy lights or anything.. even the 1SS had plenty of tech for me. Android auto is great and really replaces the need to get nav or anything. Stock sound system is just fine for me, I end up listening to the exhaust most of the time anyways.

OP, I have driven many 5th and 6th gen Camaros as well as Mustang GTs and Challengers.
The Camaro is by far the best driver. Mustang 2nd, but a better car. Challenger 3rd but the best car of the three. The Camaro (any of them) will put a smile on your face. this used to be called a "Permagrin". The SS and the new LT1 are like a BMW 3 series with a small block Chevy so it is a sport/muscle pony car. This is the Camaro sweetspot to me espcially with a manual but the A10 is cool for a slush box. But you do pay for that grin with a cramped interior and poor visibility. That is the product of a handling first engineering philosophy, with a boxed in interior. Superior engineering in my view, but the Camaro has a fold down rear seat that will hold alot of crap, but not people, if the crap fits in the door or trunk opening. The most smiles per mile to me is the current Camaro. Easy choice.

It eats a lot of gas. I don't have a problem seeing to back up or change lanes because the mirrors and camera are very effective. I do have trouble guessing where I am in a parking space, because you sit so low and the sill is so high. You have to sit up as much as you can and sometimes take two bites at the apple to get it placed correctly. The rear seat is just about useless. The trunk opening is narrow but the volume is not bad, especially with the folding rear seats. It is amazingly bulky and heavy for small interior and trunk. The interior materials and exterior fit and finish could be a lot better. Other than that it is absolutely brilliant.

I’ve owned four Mustangs and I have since owned three Camaro’s. I really enjoyed all three of my Camaro’s for different reasons. I will disclose, however, that I had no intentions of getting another Camaro after owning my first one. I wanted to branch off into a different platform but, that didn’t quite happen.
Anyhow, as far as the 6th Gen is concerned, they were great. I first had a 2016 2SS A8. The car was fine and despite having the shudder issue, I got it resolved and the ownership thereon was great. I ended up trading that in for a 2018 Camaro 1SS 1LE. That, by far, was a much better ownership experience. The road presence, the poise, the handling, the confidence, etc., were all far superior to the base V8 Camaro I had prior. Now, if your game is straight line performance, I’d urge you to not get a 1LE and instead opt for an A8/10 equipped car. Bottom line, I feel like I stole my 1LE for everything it gave me in return. It was a fantastic car and I miss it on the daily.

I’ve had my 2SS 1LE for about 6 months now & have loved every minute of it. Drove almost 6 hours home from the dealer & had no issues even not being used to it. The visibility thing gets extremely exaggerated IMO.

i think the 1LE is a bit much for the street. to push the car it has to see triple digit speeds and a very smooth road. i’ve had fun with mine several times and ended up airborne. i love the car, but it needs a track to be fun. otherwise, the composed chassis and handling come across as very mundane. it’s difficult to upset the car.
if i had it to buy over again, i’d opt for a ZL1. which to be totally honest, i am heavily considering.

In the end, I couldn’t justify daily driving a ZL1 1LE and for the price, a Z06 wasn’t too far away. So, you can see what choice I made.

I've had my 2019 2SS A10 for 4 months now and absolutely love. I'm 58 and I turned down a new loaded 2SS 1LE they were willing to part with for $14K off of sticker simply because it was way too difficult to get comfortable in it even though I really wanted a manual since I've had one most of my life. Told the dealer that 20 years ago I would have been all over it. Got the used 2019 with the exact same color package just no 1LE and it is perfect for me. Daily drive it with no complaints. If you are not old like me get the 1LE with the manual, I'm sure you wont regret it.

I bought my 19 two days before thanksgiving of last year, traded a 17 RS for it I now have 30,382 miles on it as it is my daily I still love it, did a few cheap mods to it and the only thing I’ve had to do to it is change the oil maintenance wise. I think you will love your Camaro as much as the rest of us

I've had mine for little over a week. I love it as its a perfect daily driver for me (well expect in the snow, but not planning on driving in snow) and hauls ass when I want to. Also sounds amazing, couldnt be happier with the purchase.

Not much has changed in this respect since then, some power has been added, and still no real issues with the car.
