[HELP] 2016 - 2018 Upper Grille: Interchangeable for all models?
I know the lower grill is different for I4/V6, SS and ZL1, but what about the upper grill? Will a ZL1 upper grill fit an RS?
I tried searching the forum, but couldn't find the answer. Thank you in advance. Joe |

I seriously doubt it, the ZL1 grille looks different, has a different part number and its MSRP is over $600 (yes, no typo, this much for the tiny flat little upper grille with the flowtie) compared to $250 for the RS upper grille.

From Experience the answer is yes. All the upper grills are the same. I had the ZL1 flow tie on my LT and have see SS guys put them on their cars as well.

It's been a couple of years so I don't remember the exact details, but the integral mounting tabs on the top of the grills, left and right side, are slightly different, the zl1 pieces are slightly thicker and can cause the front fascia to pucker very slightly.
If you have both uninstalled grills in front of you, you will see what I mean. Not a big deal at all to sand down the zl1 part to eliminate the interference. It's so slight that it may not happen on all cars, I didn't even notice it on mine for quite a while, but once you see it, you will notice it every time you look at the car. I think I may have posted about this and included pics. I'll see what I can find
