Camaro get together - Western NC
For anyone that knows western NC up in the Smoky Mountains it is a beautiful area, some awesome drivig roads like The Tail of the Dragon, Cherhola Skyway, Hellbender 28, BRP, etc. There is really nice resort called Fontana Village Resort. They host car events all the time, like they have a Mini Cooper event, Miata event, even a Corvette event. Usually a bunch of people with these types of cars gather ever year for a few days, the resort is very accomodating to these clubs/events. Thought it might be cool to have an event there some time next year, maybe spring/summer time. Respond if you might be interested.

Awesome! I just went there for Thanksgiving, talked to the activities person, he said that there is already a Camaro club that goes there, from Charlotte. We can hook up with them or we can start our own 6th gen one. They are real nice people at the resort and they will cater and organize the events. They usually have the same groups that show up every year at the same time of the year. If we can get enough people, I can contact them soon to see what groups are scheduked, like I said thinking maybe sping/summer next year. Let me know what your opinions are.

I've been to Fontana many times. They have a discount card for dragon regulars that gets you 25% off non peak times.Phillips motel is where my hayabusa club goes and they are also great for clubs. For smaller groups even the microtel is cost effective but not much atmosphere.

I am heading up there hopefully sometime next month, once the weather is warmer and I know the roads up there are clear. I can't wait!
