Nice, 575 cam only, you would have been at 600 heads cam!... I'm sure that thing had to be a riot to drive.

Yes but the odd part is why would you sell that car not even a couple months after the cam swap and then turn around and buy another 6th gen to start all over again? Something tells me he didn't like that setup aside from the power it made.

Maybe.. a big cam car carries some compromises.. but he said on here it was related to a prospective c8 purchase.

What happened to me was a weird combination of plans and unexpected life events.... -I completed the cam swap, had the car tuned at one tuner who didn't have much GEN V experience and it made 550whp but did have some drivability issues -I then took it to Kaizen Speed in Tri Cities WA (who built Shizzy Supras car, and some others). -When they finished with it, it' picked up 25whp peak (made 575whp) and like 10-20whp and wtq under the curve about everywhere. They found the other tuner wasn't experienced with Torque Management tuning and that's why I had issues. The car DROVE LIKE STOCK, even at very low RPM/off idle. -I had already put a deposit/order in for a C8, planning on buying a Z51. So I drove the Camaro and expected it to take months to sell and I'd get to enjoy it during that time. -The car sold in 12 days lol. A guy in NC who drives 18-wheeler over the road and is home like 5-10 times a year, he put it in a warehouse he rents space in (which will be relevant, read on), bought it while I was still living in Seattle - This was October of 2019. -In January, while my order had yet to be picked up for the C8, I got approved for a transfer to NC that I asked for in like April of 2019 (I thought I'd never get the transfer tbh) -I cancelled the C8 allocation because since it was a voluntary move, I'd have to pay for it and I didn't want to worry about paying for a C8 AND covering a move, etc -I moved to ... NC (remember NC from above?) - I offered to buy my old car back and the dude considered it for a few days and later declined. I add this because I liked the car that much and also knew that building another h/c car would cost WAY MORE than just buying my old car back (even if I paid $500-1500 more than I sold it for, which I didn't offer but would have) -So now I'm looking at 1LEs, ZL1s, C7GSs, and C7Z06s to keep for 1-2 years til I can buy a C8 Z06 at lower-than-msrp... -I figured since it's for like 2.5 years max, if I bought a 1LE or GS, if I could see 500whp out of it - it'd be powerful enough for me... even if not as powerful as my old car. I just didn't want to do the cam swap again nor did I want to spend the money on the parts (nor the labor if I didn't want to do it) just for a car that I'd sell anyway. Hope that clears it all up. The setup was a custom spec'd cam from PRAY which did require valve reliefs but it wasn't a big deal. I did stock heads that were decked .030 and a set of thinner cometics, then the typical 2in catless headers, ported C7ZR1 TB and MSD, and an RF dry (and E85)

So that is 80 to 95 WHP for a cam swap on FBO. Lordy...
No need to explain, it ain't like you are on trail.. LOL. But I hear you, if I was going to come out of retirement, I'd buy myself a C8. Love to see the dyno. Is this SAE dynojet?

link to my build thread below with the old/new-ish dynos. That one showed 569 and I think somewhere I have a 572 or 574.x sheet (can't recall, I rounded to 575). Was told it was SAE as Kaizenspeed doesn't really do anything else as far as I'm aware. There was a local ZL1 that was stock and my car would pull on him like... just a tad, as I had similar power but a little less weight. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...4#post10602344
