GM left the Camaro out to rot last time, too. It's a darn shame, and here we are again.

really wish they had the volume to do more versions. would love a "grand sport" 1le, with everything from ZLE but the MRC and LT1 from the SS.
the comments on that article and the reddit thread of the same name are pretty sad, citing "visibility" for why they went mustang over camaro despite all of that cars limitations. really hate how Viral opinions can get "oh yeah the visibility is pretty terrible in that car", when the opinion came third hand from someone who sat in one in a showroom....once. It is a shame. I'm just glad I could pick one up this year after first lusting after the IROC Z in high school in the 80's. The Mustang never did it for me. With it's awful interiors that have followed it to this day. That Dark Horse interior is hideous, with those giant screens. Oh well, I'm sure GM in its infinite wisdom will reincarnate it as some god awful soulless, boring EV pos with 4 doors and an $80K price tag.

Personally I wish our SS 1le’s had either a hot rodded LT1 or an LS7. The chassis are begging for another 50-100 more horsepower. When my warranty is up I’m either getting a zl1 or adding bolt ons. Or I might yolo it and go heads cam.

Yep. Wing, Wider front fenders, the zl1 bumper with the canards. Thinner rear glass. Maybe a more aggressive mrc tune and spring rate. An adjustable rear bar. Also really wish they'd radially mount their calipers to make rotor resizing easier but that's a different topic. |

I'm not as knowledgeable about Corvettes, but I thought the Grand Sport was more like a Z06 equivalent. What you're describing sounds more like a ZR1. |

A grand sport is basically a z06 but with the base model engine. So you get the z06 wide body, brakes, larger wheels, aero and suspension but no engine upgrade.
