Just a long term update - almost 2 years on my 17lb braille now, and it still cranks over my 14.7:1 motor with no issues.

The true test will be on the coming months when I have to start the car with temps in the low twenties/high teens, that's about the coldest it gets around here.
we get the same temps in Ohio. Except they have a (-) in front of the numbers. Wonder why?

J,

I read somewhere that if I disconnect the battery I might have to do a power window relearn?

I just charged up my light weight battery it's ready to install.

Best of luck to you, but, FWIW, HOT weather, (really hot weather) is worse on CCA, and batteries in general than cold weather. When I was heavy into the bike industry, we used similar batteries on the BIG cubic inch aftermarket Harley engines (113+ CI, 10.5:1+ compression,) and could never get them to last, or provide enough cranking amps... Hopefully the technology has improved in the last few years... I would definitely recommend some form of battery tender if the car is sitting for more than a few days, and to start the engine before engaging any electrical accessories.

Mine has been daily driven for over two years now. Never had a problem, and it's been 104*+ here lately.

If the battery will survive in a hot environment like TX, and last for over 2 years in a vehicle with a large electrical load like your vert, they must be pretty well built products. Nothing worse than a vehicle with a dead battery...

Just to add to the mix, what is the "battery run-down" protection shown as a standard feature on our cars?

It shuts down interior lights and stuff if they are left on for something like 10 minutes with the key off.

To shed weight.
Inclined to disagree. Just the other day I left my dome light on for like 3+ hrs. Car fired right up but it was on when I got in the car. Maybe that feature is something else or it's not working in my car. ?
