Headers/tune estimates way diff

So I currently have some tsp headers and off road connection I want to get instead on my 2018 camaro 2ss, I also want to get it tuned. I have 3 shops estimate me at 1250-1324. Then I had two other shops give me estimates of 2025 and 2556, the 2556 one sent me a whole
Break down of the charges , I’ll be honest I have no clue about tuning. Anyone know why the estimates between three and the other two are way different. What is the average cost of headers instal and a full dyno tune
Thanks in advance. FYI I’m in the Chicago area anyone from this area have a shop they recommend

When I got mine done I had kooks headers installed, e85 kit installed, tune, and 2 dynonruns performed (1 on premium, 1 on e85) total ran 1500 and included a 1/3 tank of e85 from a well known shop near me.
Dont see how the cost would be anything over 2000? What are they charging for labor and how many hours?
Gonna see if I can track down my breakdown sheet for an example

Yeah I don’t understand how it would be 2k-2500 especially when I got quotes of 1324
I have the break down of the one estimate but I have no idea how to upload pictures on here. It’s saying one time charge of 225$ to unlock my TCM. 399 for 8 custom credits. 294 for labor 855$ for the tune 585$ for the header install. So basically over 1700 just for the tune. That seems ridiculous

Most tunes run about $500. Do not pay more than that.

Header install should be about $500 to $1000 depending on difficulty.

Header install should definitely not be 500-1000 LOL. I paid 350 for my TSP Header install and I have numerous friends who paid 400 at local shops near me.

very large gray area. depends on what parts are used ($1k difference in speed engineering vs kooks headers). pick tuner based on results, not the cost. all tunes are certainly not created equal.

Tunes are usually $500 (+/- $100)depending whats being done. Header install is dually right around $1000. Much past that I can't see what they are charing you for unless their shop labor is just ridiculous.

Another thing to consider is location. Cost of livimg is different around the country and labor could easily be double crom one state to another.

Fwiw, a shop quoted me $1,000 for a headers install and 93, E85 tune. Speed engineering headers. Shop just works on GM LS, LT engines.

Did they include the parts in that 2500 estimate?

Well may be because I'm in SoFla but a well know shop down here charges to install Kooks Headers, Kooks Xpipe, oil / filter change and a tune $3800 bucks.

and if you want a tranny tune with that fork up another $1500

That does include the parts... but dang.
