Those with a 2650, 3 questions for u
For those with a 2650, I have a few questions. If not running meth please answer these questions based on pump gas.
What boost are you at? I am running 14% lower and 90mm upper and was told it is 15lbs. Next two questions I plan to ask my tuner today when I go to get the car. What is your injectors pulse width at? How much timing are you running?

Boost-wise, I'm seeing those pressures creepy into the upper/top-teens as boost weather gets better. In the Summer (IATs around 80-90), I've seen about 15-pounds, which is about where I'd expect to be. When IATs dropped into the lower 60s, I saw a few more pounds. I have a feeling part of it is the OEM-manifolds and cats'. I'll say I found something that is very similar to the OEM-blower that is probably causing the increase I'm seeing, too, and I think that's causing the biggest boost-issue I'm having (too much). I'm backing that off, so I can be at a safer level more consistently. I'm right on the threshold of the OEM fuel system though, as far as I can understand. If I set my EQ around .82 or so, and I'm off more than 5-10% in my VVE-table, I'm well into the 6ms. Getting that table adjusted is a PITA, but I'm in a good range now. That keeps me right around the mid-to-upper-5ms range. It doesn't take much, once I'm into the 6s, though, to watch the high pressure side start falling. My EQ doesn't fall yet, but I'm sure if I were running more than a quarter mile, I'd start to see it change from the fueling. I'm still trying to see if I'm getting false knock. For the first time, I just splashed enough octane concentrate to make about 95-octane. Once I have time to log some more, I'd like to see if it is real knock, because I'm not quite sure it is. I haven't changed Magnuson's canned table though. I figure if I see little blips here-and-there, I'll splash the concentrate in the tank, get a few numbers, and call it good.

I don't think there is a 1 all timing value but 22/23 with IATs in the 140 below range is normal. its a value that changes through the curve..IF you do any data logging you will see that if your at a red light or idle for a bit there could be as much as 5 degrees pulled but it recovers quickly once the air starts moving. And i'm sure if it senses knock or high IAT3 its reduced as well. Also I have no doubt that some of those short glory passes on the dyno's are 26/27 but they wouldn't leave the dynos like that!

I just got the car back today and he put my tune very conservative he said. He said timing is 21. I forgot what he said the injectors pulse width was so I will need to data log. Based on similar builds I was expecting more than 750rwhp. Granted I did not do heads and the Temps here are still in the 90s. Also have seen others with 6800 shift and mine is 6700.

Your right in the ballpark at 750rwhp with a cam and no meth. You need to find out what the commit on your high pressure rails was calling for and what it was hitting as well as injector pulse. Add meth and you'll be at 800. |

I think 20-21 degrees is about max for 93 octane. What boost level were you at when he had it on the dyno?

He said 15lbs. As a reminder it's BTR stage 2 cam and Magnuson 2650, dsx low side, as well as Lingenfelter high flow ck valve, NW103 with Big Gulp. American racing 2" with long pipes into stock muffler.

A lot people post 850 with a cam. Seems low.

All the searching I did found 775 to 840 depending on weather to be the norm. Besides not doing heads and it being hot I am just trying to see why my power is 25 to 50 less than others. I also understand dynos vary.
Virginia Speed was 775. Janetty had one at 790 and another at 840 on Facebook.

Careful chasing dyno numbers. Many will post their sheets in STD which reads 3-4% higher then SAE. Also make sure to compare same type of dyno to yours. Dyno numbers are all over the place. I made 660 on 1 Dynojet, 695 on another dynojet (both sae same mods) and 625 on a mustang dyno. (12% or so difference then dynojet). |

I guess once I see where my fuel is at I can get a better idea. I am guessing down about 20-25 due to using stock heads, but still another 25-40 to account for

With similar set ups we usually see around 750-800rwhp on 93 so that's not out of the realm. 21 degrees on 93 is about right as well. Some meth and you can get 24-25 degrees out of it and run 800-850rwhp. I would think your pulse width is north of 5.5 but adding meth will get it low enough to consider some E as well.

I had similar set up but with heads american racing headers and texas speed heads and 2650 dsx low side with 80mm upper pulley stock lower. And it was too much boost for 93 even with methanol 18 to 20lbs .once i put a cam with 38% lobe and turned off the methanol 85mmpulley 15lbs is where im at with cooler temperatures maybe 16+ but im happy with the power on 93 .
