I saw those at my Chevy dealer, but they look like the ones made by McGuard. And I have read that some of the McGuard lock are shearing off since these wheels get torqued to 140 foot pounds.

Has anyone else heard about that or used these from Chevy? I need a set for my car also.

I might just get the Gorilla locks with out the spinning part.

I've been using the OE wheel locks since day one (3 years ago) and swap wheels around regularly with no issue. You shouldn't have any issue with shearing if you ensure the key is seated before applying any torque and always using breaker bar to loosen and torque wrench to tighten. Can't use any form of impact on these.

Side note, if anything does shear, it should be the key and not the lug. Keep the documentation for your wheel locks and you can get another key if you need to.

I just bought the Gorilla #96641DX 14MM X 1.50 Factory Style Bulge locks. I ordered off of Ebay from Tuneshop and I called and talked to someone at Gorilla to make sure that was the right part #. They lock and fit well and I torqued them to 140 lbs per manual with out any problems.
