They said there also a 10k supplement on it so of they find anymore damage (which they most likely be will) that its a loss and they are tonna have to total the vehicle, he did say if the shop is willing to fix it for 19k that they will. So now I'm just waiting to here back from them on what's gonna happen I guess... Not sure where to really go from here, I'm hoping if they do total it I get money for my mods or I atleast get to take them off be car...

If they total it, just turn around and buy another one. They most likely won't give you the money for the mods. Perhaps you can negotiate to get the mods off the totaled car?

On a different note, the Ram trucks are supposed to be the most car like of all of the trucks and are rated as the top truck- over Ford and Chevy. But yeah the gas mileage- probably 15 MPG.

Sorry to hear it's been totaled. Hopefully somebody gets it for a good deal at action whose competent at the necessary repairs. Cars that get written off like this are a hotrodder's dream, so it may live on.

Ok so good news as of today, the cars not being totalled now... The insurance guy made a mistake on the numbers for something and had the man hours for something at 37 instead of 3.7 so it back to the 15-16k of damage. The guy from the shop texted me saying they almost have all the parts in and they should start work on it by the end if the week. He's gonna keep me updated on repairs as time goes on. So I'm pretty excited that I'ma get her back. Time to shop for some headers now and get a E85 kit

Up to you on the headers as far as how much you want to spend (obviously I kind of went the cheap route and don't regret it one bit), but definitely look into the lethal garage flex fuel kit. They are all pretty much the same and that one is by far the cheapest.

https://www.lethalgarage.com/product...-gen-camaro-ss

It's $235 right now, but I think I found a coupon code and got it for $215. No sense at all in paying $400+ for a $85 GM stock sensor and a bit of wire and fuel line.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but won’t these mods void the 5/60 powertrain warranty?
Unless you’re seriously competing in these cars I’m not sure why anyone would want to void the 5/60.

When mine runs out I’ll be looking into the E85 mod, that’s about it for my intended usage.

You are correct TP2SS that both mods will void the warranty! Maybe Ryan isn’t concerned anymore about the power train warranty!

Im at 50k miles, the powertrain, besides the TC/A8 issues, seems to be pretty solid. The rest of the car... well ...it's a Camaro

They most certainly will give you money for the mods, especially since another drivers and their insurance is on the hook for the damages.

Whether or not mods are covered usually only matters when it is your insurance company footing the bill, when it is someone elses insurance policy and fault they are required to make you hole again and that included paying for any parts that you bought and paid for to be installed on the vehicle.

I have been down that road before and won the battle.

sup guys another update

so i asked the truckers insurance about getting the diminished value for my car and he said id have to prove that its lost its value after the accident. not sure how ima get this exactly so im gonna call gieco and talk to them about it. i guess i have to find out the value of my car before and after the accident. also i asked about getting the right rear tire replaced since they are paying for the rear left cause it was damaged but they are gonna pay for it so the shop quoted me about $630 for a new right rear tire. hopefully getting the car back soon, really missin it...

You will have to push the diminished value issue as the burden is on you to prove the car is worth less now. On my wife's car I got nowhere with State Farm until I proved to them via a Carfax report that her car now was marked with accident damage and worth less. I used the book value undamaged versus the Carfax value with the accident included and which showed about 3000-4000 difference in value. Using that as my ammo I started at $3000.00 and they countered at $500.00. After much back and forth we settled at $1500.00. This was on a 2018 Kia Sorento with 26K miles at the time and the repairs were $7000.00.

If you don't ask and then back it up with some documentation the answer will always be "no".

Hope that helps. Good luck and I'm glad your car is almost ready.
