So sorry! I've worked in the insurance industry for 20 years and I'd be shocked if they totaled it. Although, if it was my car, I'd wish for a total. It would always be "diminished" to me. I'd probably get it fixed and trade it for a new one if it was financially feasible. Good luck!

So update, got the rental car which is actually a 2019 Dodge ram 1500 with the bighorn package. They had no cars and only trucks and mini vans... So much for saving gas lol

News on the Camaro, rn it's at about 15k in damage, they are able to fox it. There's no damage to the axle or the bottom frame which is good. They are looking at about 6 weeks to fix her😔 I'm paying for none of this tho it's all being covered by the truckers insurance.

Good news for you and hope everything goes well! That Ram truck rides like a car and not a truck! I have a friend that has one and I was amazed how much it rode like a car the first time riding in it.

Hey guys ok so new update I talked to be insurance adjuster today and he said it's looking like they are gonna total the car, the damage and repairs are already 58% of what my car is worth and had about 19k worth of damage. They said there also a 10k supplement on it so of they find anymore damage (which they most likely be will) that its a loss and they are tonna have to total the vehicle, he did say if the shop is willing to fix it for 19k that they will. So now I'm just waiting to here back from them on what's gonna happen I guess... Not sure where to really go from here, I'm hoping if they do total it I get money for my mods or I atleast get to take them off be car...

Ryan, my advice is to let them total the car! If it’s repaired then later down the road issues might start showing up and it will be never be like it was before the accident. What I would do is take the money for the car and put it on a new 2020 SS 1LE or a used 2017-2019 ZL1 unless you still owe money on your 2018. Good luck with whatever happens in your situation!

Let them total. Strip all your parts off, take the check, and buy yourself a clean replacement.

Although he wishes it was up to him, this one is up to the Insurance guys... Here’s hoping they do side with the odds, and total it.

You won't receive enough money to buy a replacement and if the damage is only cosmetic I would want them to fix it. As for any issues after you get it back most body shops warranty the work for as long as you own the car.

That's just cosmetic. Just buff it out.

If they Total it, does your Insurance allow you to buy it back?
