Should I buy a 2017 Zl1???

So I have been shopping for a great deal on a 2017 or newer ZL1.
I have been reading the forums as much as possible.
I am seeing that the 2017 ZL1 oil pump seems to fail at some time.
Is this correct?
Is this a year I should stay away from?
Did it get fixed in 2018? Or what do I need to look for if I buy a 2017?

Most of the failures are centered around 2017 model year, but even then there are very few failures compared to the total # of cars that were made. Even then most failures seem to happen early on so if a car has made several thousands miles without the pump going out its probably going to be OK.

I bought my used 2017 ZL1 back in March and knock on wood it’s still going strong! If you really like it then get it!

I have had my 2017 ZL1 since new. Now I have about 22K miles. No issues. The car has been great. Very reliable, but also very fun. I have a fair amount of AutoX with it so it has not been driven lightly.
