Fans running after changing plugs/belt

After changing my plugs and belt, I started the car. It popped through the exhaust once, the idle was high ~1,300 rpm and the electric fans came on (that was unusual).

After letting the car run a few minutes, the idle slowed to around 750 rpm (normal) and the car ran good. After shutting the car off both fans stayed running for a few minutes (NOT usual). I started the car again about 10 minutes later, the idle was normal, it ran smooth and the fans came on. After shutting the car off again, the fans stayed on again. This has never happened - even when it's been really hot out, the fans always turned off with the car.

Any ideas, I didn't mess with anything other than the plugs and the belt.
