Longest tread life?

Here's a question for all of you.

Which brand of tire lasts the longest? I'm talking normal camaro driving (daily with some hard and fast, no burnouts or tracks)

PS4s are light and with a 300 wear rating. That’s an easy 15000 miles with your description.

Reason being is I need a new set of rubber. My factory tires on my 2016 SS have only gotten me under 20,000kms (12,500 miles)
I'm also going to go wider and go with 285/35/20 and 305/35/20 (roughly)

Get all-season tires. Even then, you're only really looking at 20-25k mile limit.

Why would anyone do that?

Because for his uses, it's enough.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S bar none. One weekend track event, daily driven, 28,000 miles. Still wasn't on wear indicators.

Michelins PSS and PS4S last longer and perform better (especially in wet) than any other brand I've used.

In this case I've gotten what I've paid for.

If you want to get the most out of your tires, you need the same size on all 4 corners. Then you can rotate them.

Look at the average lows. This does not strike me as summer performance tire country:

I can see that you're living in Alberta and the weather is not too great there. Are planning on getting away with all seasons or using a dedicated summer and winter set?

My advice to you would be to run 255 or 265 up front on the 8.5" front and do 275 or 285 in the rear. There is absolutely ZERO reason for you, in particular to your use, to up-size to 285/305 on the factory wheels (8.5"/9.5"). You're just adding weight, cost and not helping your goal for long-term durability with a poorly supported tire.

Second, focus on finding the best performing all-season tire your budget allows.

All in all, remember this: The rubber is what meets the road; it is your tires that really stop you, not your brakes. When you look past performance and only look at a tires ability to last long, you will have to make compromises in performance and quality.

Third, get an alignment. See if anything is out and maybe have it adjusted better for the street.

Summer only. Just bought a set of MRR M017. So size isn't an issue.
