Good evening crew. Only one no show client today but that was enough to help me stay caught up on my documentation so no homework again. Going to try to turn in early again tonight. Maybe I can get my butt up on time.

A 1966 Arizona license plate arrived today. Hoping I can use it on the Impala. I was able to register my 1969 plates on the Chevelle.

Also got a circular polarizing filter for my camera. I think this is what I have been looking for to make better car photos, at least I hope so.

Cool!

Good morning. Happy Friday. Going to be very hot here today.

Very sad that proud members of our military went to work and never came home. I am really worried for all our military personnel in country now as well as overseas. May comfort & strength come to all the families and loved ones of all the victims.

I keep getting the same thing popping up. I am NOT a fan of windows 8 and really hate to go to 10. What happened to Windows 9? Who knows.

Really neat, Rick. Character of the plate matches that of the car.

A belated "welcome aboard" to Jimjammixon and 68Z28.

Been getting pitches for Win10 here, both from MS's own updating and my internet security software. For what I do any more, Win8.1 is more than I need - XP would still be plenty good - so I'm planning not to ever load 10 (free or not).

I buddy told me my Chevelle appeared in the August 2014 issue of roddinandracintv.com, but all of the issues were gone. Anyway, I finally got around to searching the web, and I found it! I am on page 8.

Roddin' & Racin' is our only print show and cruise periodical, but one of three websites listing our events.

Very cool!

At work I took all my books, toys & games off the shelves & did some re-arranging of the shelves. The new shelf bracket that the office manager bought was the wrong one so I put it all back. Then just as I sat down....................it all fell. The shelf bracket was not in place well enough I guess. So I started over.

I did 3 miles of walk, fast walk, run, then some upper body weight work them my dance/exercise class - 1 hr 40 min. I am tired & I hurt. Definitely hitting the bed early.

Good morning. We are under a heat advisory starting at noon. I plan to get busy early on making my seat cover as I will need to be back & forth between the garage & house. Hopefully I can get it done. Have a great weekend crew!

Feels like the tropics even here in N. IL. heat builds up then ion the afternoon a thunder storm. Followed by sun and everything steams. AH the good old summertime.

That AZ license plate is STILL registered. Guy would not say if it is still current, but it is registered. I'll have to go to an actual MVD to attempt to change the registration to me. Gotta weight the potential time spent with the benefit.

But the Impala is now legal and the road trip starts in two weeks.

Well it took me a little over 8 hours but I had no miss-steps & it went smoothly. Not sure that has ever happened on any sewing project or significant craft especially given that I had no pattern or instructions just making it up. I used newspaper to fashion a rough pattern than cut the material, pinned it together in the car seat, then sew a while go back try it on the seat again, pin some more, sew some more........................after a while, it is a seat cover.

I tried hard not to get OCD about it, after all it is to protect my seat from sunscreen & will probably eventually be messed up itself. The goal was to make it easy to put on & take off & prevent spending the ridiculous amount of money I saw one on line for. It is quite a task for me not to get OCD about sewing since I started at age 8 in 4-H club competitions & then worked for A+ grades in Home Ec & I tend to be rather OCD about things anyway. But I was chilled today. Success. I plan to get my username embroidered on it later but here it is.
