Lower Shield on LS/LT/V6 1LE

The aluminum lower shield (23379353) is listed by GM as a part for "LT, LS with performance pkg, SS." It's the large silver plate with the crossbar between the front wheels.

I've read here that this part is not installed on standard V6 Camaros. Does anyone know if that's true and if it is, is the shield installed on the V6 1LE?

Anyone have a pic of the underside of their V6 1LE?
