You don't get that 18k in mods back on resale though. A 50k car is going to resell for a lot more 5 years down the line than a 30k car with 20k in mods, not to mention the warranty issues.

Well I thought it was also until they informed me that the vehicle we have dealt with in fact is a dealer demo with 2800 miles on it. You just have to love the last minute surprises that dealerships will spring on you. So now that price tag of a bit over 45k is not looking so great. They say the car is new, has never been titled, but I am sure the 2800 miles were not easy highway miles.

It's really too bad as I was planning to make the trip and purchase tomorrow. Oh well the search continues.

2800 miles is really REALLY high even for a dealer demo. It's definitely never been titled? I only put 8,000 miles on my SS in a year and I drove it every day and on a few road trips. They should've been up front with you. 2800 miles of any kind is used, not new.

Jeez, i seriously hate dirty dealers, sorry about that man. yes that is a lot of miles for a demo and no doubt some very "enthusiastic" miles as well. I wish you good luck in your search and if it isn't a Challenger you end up with I still hope it is some Amerincan Muscle you can share with the whole family

There is no telling how many differant folks took this car out for spirited drives. I just can't understand how a dealer can advertise the car as new, titled or not titled with 2800 miles on the odometer. I guess I should have been suspect when they agreed to sell the car for several thousand under invoice, should have been a red flag.

In MN a dealer can put 4,999 miles on and still it as new/never titled. After 5,000 it's used. So most dealer demos (car's that managers, owners, salespoeple drive are turned in around 4,500 or if they sell sooner)
