I know this is a very general question but I'm also wondering if any of the systems are significantly different in weight, like more than 50 pounds apart (and compared to an LT4 OEM style setup).
They all seem to fall in to a 140-160 lb range based on shipping weights.

The lightest ones are the Kraftwerks and SLP.

Hey Ted. If I put the LT4 HPFP, injectors, and in tank pump in the car, would it need to be tuned right away or can I drive it down to you for a dyno tune? I know the car is licensed in both of our hptuners but I wanted to get some numbers this spring anyways. I know in theory unless the car requests more fuel it should be fine, I just wasn’t sure what is exactly different with the hpfp, being that it is mechanical. Thanks.

Not a good Idea.

Since I already tuned your car, you know the deal, buy the parts from me and the custom remote tune is FREE, I can get you dialed in in just a couple revisions.

Ted.

Does anyone have any recommendation for colder plugs for a nitrous car? I'm picking up and kit this weekend and wanted to see if anyone had a specific plug that would work best for my application. Also, is there any benefit of a 180 degree thermostat on such a build, or would it just be money wasted? Thanks

Ted, with an M6 1le, does the base 7psi pro-charger need a stronger clutch, more fuel, or headers/high flow cats?

No sir but all of those can certainly be added once you upgrade your fuel system to handle more boost.

I offer Procharger systems along with JRE Custom tuning please feel free to give me a call for an estimate. 203-753-7223

Ted,

I live in CA and am interested in a 50 state (carb) certified supercharger kit. Are there any yet that are? If there are, are those kits tuned locked or can those kits be tuned?

Thanks pcw

Thanks for the info, and now the second part of the question, from those that offer a 50 state legal kit, can those kits be tuned? The reason I ask is, I was considering supercharging a ND Mazda MX-5 kit from Edelbrock, but that kit is locked and I was told by Flying Miata, the only way they got that 50 state approval was to lock the tune....

I would like to have someone protune the LT1 kit but wasn't sure if it would still be 50 state legal. I have owned and tuned a few STI's over the years and with a handheld tuner could switch back and forth between the stock factory tune and a more aggressive protune. I would switch back to the factory tune for dealer visits and warranty work... Could something like be done with one of the LT1 supercharger kits? for smog'ing purposes....
