If you don't have any rear seat passengers the GM part looks to be the best at keeping turbulence to a minimum.

HOWEVER, if you drive it as a 2+2 you don't really have a choice. The GM part is NOT going to work if you, your spouse and the two kids enjoy driving top down and are concerned about the wind.

I have the GM one and can echo earlier comments about cutting down the wind. It doesn't eliminate the wind, but it does cut it down enough to be comfortable when driving in cooler temps.

Yes, you can raise and lower the top with the deflector in place. I have not removed mine since I put it in. Installation took all of 10 minutes or less.
No, it does NOT reduce the buffeting on the top when it's lowered into the down position. The top still flaps around just like it did when before the deflector.

I can't say anything about the acrylic deflector versions, but they look more decorative than functional to me.

I got mine at shopchevyparts.com, they were quite a bit cheaper than anywhere else I have found.
