Launch control is meant for fun, not track times. Whenever pulling timing gets involved in the launch you car falls over at the line. Add that to the builtin GM bog and and all you wind up with is frustration trying to get a good time.
Could GM build us a better launch control? For sure, but then the Host (West World reference ) is driving the car, not you.

At the track with my 6M car I was much faster without TC on. I could see times on the street being similar just because the grip levels vary so much more.
