My father works for a body shop, the insurance company takes an inventory of all parts replaced and they actually send the parts to the insurance company or a third party for verification. He can't even give me the hood vents off of a wrecked SS because they have to be inventoried. I don't know if this is for this shop specifically or a rule for all shops, but this is what they are required to do.

I had a wheel replaced by my insurance company. Black 5 spoke stock wheel. Listed on invoice at $699 if I remember correctly.

Why would you not have full coverage on a new car maybe less mods and saved the $$$ for full coverage.
I would delete this thread if I were you.
