Yeah I really like the acid etched look with a high gloss polish... i found a DIY kit. I may try it.

If it's a working floor, I would skip the kits and do the floor in a marine grade epoxy. I use the two part PPG Aquapon 35. It will stand up to petroleum products over time and is tough as nails. My fist floor in my garage was done 25 years ago and it still looks great.
Here's my new shop with the Aquapon 35. I would recommend the first coat in the water base Aquapon 35 because it will flow better and release the trapped air in the pores of the cement. Second coat should be the polyamide base epoxy for durability. Floor prep is everything. Scrub and acid etch several times to open up the pores. |

That looks awesome! I really want something a little different that just an epoxy. A few of my neighbors have the epoxy.

Thanks! This is my hideaway when I retire where I can play with all kinds of things. Welder on its way and lift going in soon.
PPG will mix whatever color you want, so some kind of pattern of your choice is doable. I went for durability over pretty. Note: I never really checked on a clear option with PPG. Might be worth a shot. |

We decided to have the garage floor professionally done with Advocoat polyaspartic. We live in a rustic timberframe home so the only coating that really works with the style is the light gray, no chips, high gloss with non skid addititve. I love the metallics but just doesn't coordinate with our homes decor.

Ha! Thanks Magnum922 . I won it at a Harley ride 2-years ago. It was professionally airbrushed and is designed to hold a case of beer with a few bags of ice.......
