Times keep getting lower!

Managed a 1:49.88 first session out a couple weeks ago at Auto Club speedway. Hoping for 1:48.5 this weekend with new brakes and tires. Car just amazes me every track day! Best lap at about 13:10 into first session. https://youtu.be/QEjCH1j4LcU

Nice man, about two seconds faster than me. One thing I noticed is how easy you are on the brake going into turn 3. Me, I just stab the brake at the last second. I thought that was the way to go, but looking at your video I need to start earlier and be a lot more easier on it.

Hmm, I don't know. Getting on the brakes really hard for Turn 3, and long after other people start to brake for it, is where I do a lot of my catching up at the ACS Roval.

not sure I know what you mean....yeah I am braking deeper there than most there, and I can make at least 1 second on that section versus other guys in the bank corner and into turn 3. I eat guys up right there. That would be a good thing! Key to the long straight is obviously as much speed onto the straight, only release throttle a bit as you turn in, then good line through the bank turn and maintain over 130 and accelerate hard prior to turn 3 up to about 140. I did several hours of overlay comparisons using cosworth app, and that was where I made lots of time. There are still another area to drop tenths as well. Should be able to drop another .5 second after studying it.

ahhhh, nvm Rootsie. You are saying the same thing as me and responding to the previous post. I agree that deep braking into 3 and standing on the brakes there to anti skid is best and eat guys up there for sure.
