Anyone running Pirelli DH slick 325/705/19?

So I currently run 680 series but tagging rev limiter at 7100 rpm. Shifting into 5th is just no good, to big of a rpm drop. I run 680 in the front and curious is .9 inch will change the rake of the car or will I not notice such a small change.

705 for the rear could be ok, move the wiring harness. It’s only .5 total diameter larger than stock as stock is 27.23 and 705 is 27.72

You run 680 what wheel size and what width tire up front? Impossible to give any type of advice without this little detail regarding rake change, i am afraid. Stock diameter doesnt matter here as you're not running stock sizes anyway. It is a ratio of F vs R that matters.

Edit: rake is usually measured in fractions of an inch vs inches, so a bigger wheel/tire in the rear may significantly change it and hence influence the handling.

680 is all the same across the board, it won't matter what wheel and tire he is running, as the diameter will be 680mm regardless.

I ran a 680/705 split once back in the day and it seemed to work ok, a slight bit of rubbing if I remember correctly. Though it was a long time ago so maybe I'm remembering wrong. The last set I had was 680 all around, if I ever do DH's again I will be using 660's on 18's.

Duh! Of course: it is a race tire. Thx for putting me straight Sean

The ATS-V M6 (MG9 code) has the 0.80 5th-gear and a higher torque capacity if you ever scatter yours.

What's the reason behind why you'd only do slicks that are 660's on 18's?

Is this what you are running? If so do you mind sharing why?

Higher rated torque capacity is apt to mean differences in the other ratios as well. Are there any differences in 1st through 4th ratios?

Only 5th and 6th different between MM6 and MG9.

2.66 / 1.78 / 1.30 / 1.00 1st - 4th.

MM6: 0.74 / 0.50 5th - 6th
MG9: 0.80 / 0.63 5th - 6th

On another note: The base ZL1 gets the MJK while the ZL1 1LE gets the MH3. Those have the same ratios except for 6th, where they are 0.54 for the MJK and 0.68 for the MH3. Interesting how they get the same fuel economy label though the ZL1 1LE has wider, stickier tires, more aero, and spins 29% (!) more in 6th between the gear ratio and the shorter tires. Hmm.

I've tried 680 square and currently running 660 front and 680 rear. I need 680 rear to get final gear ratio down. 5th gear is mandatory with 660. Rpm drop is to great

In the 18" size, the 660 comes in a 305/325, whereas the 680 comes in a 305/315.
