You are both technically correct just depends how much camber you are looking to get and how your car is setup. You can max out the camber at the knuckle then do your adjustments at the camber plates or set the Knuckles back to "zero" for more clearance and do all your adjustments on the camber plate. Im no suspension specialist; however I will leave it up to the suspension/ race engineers at GMG who do my alignments based off of my feed back and data.
