What needs to be forged?
Hey guys so im looking to get a bunch of stuff done to car. At 560whp looking to jump to a final 750whp. Looking at forged pistons and rods and a cam with fuel sustem. Talking to performance shop and they told me the rods should be fine as they talked to many manufacturers and they all said they are forged powder rods just wondering if there is any truth to this? I know crank is forged and thats about it. Pistons are cast so those are a must but they say rods are forged powder so not sure ?

Powder forging does not compare to like a 4340 forged, if your already replacing the pistons it would be the best time to replace the rod with vs having to do it again later. Not to mention the arp 2000 or higher grade rod bolt, Up to you

Yeah thats what was thinking too but they say the powder forged will handle the 750whp no problem. All i want is the 750ish range after that i dont want anymore. Car is just a weekend driver not a daily so its not getting beat on. I only put 1200miles on a year so want it reliable but if the rods now will hold should last forever if i only do 1200miles a yeah no? Unless im really romping on her

Stock rods will be fine for your power level.
