That sucks!
Glad you are OK, hopefully the insurance companies will give you fair compensation.

Cant wait for google apple and tesla to get out their autonomous cars. Lets hope these lousy drivers get them. They need them so our cars dont get beat on.

OP, you are entitled to diminished Value irregardless if it is reported to CarFax or not.

My door ding has been quoted at over $4K. The ding my wife can't see unless I show her where it is. This is going to be just a wee bit more expensive.

Glad that your weren't hurt OP. I hate people sometimes. Someone ran into my car in a parking lot and left. Ended up replacing the fender, headlight, and front bumper. Ended up being around $2600 in damage. I had to use my own insurance company and eat a $500 deductible. I used a very good body shop, so the car was fixed properly. When the body shop guy saw that the parts that were sent, were not OEM, he refused the order. He stated that only OEM parts go on this car and told me that he treated my car like it was his very own.

Sorry to see the bad news, but like others said walking away from this uninjured is the important thing.

So if anyone cares to see what they do to fix a rear quarter panel on our cars, this is how. GM sends the entire replacement side in.

Interesting thanks for the pictures.
Looking at the door strike location I see some corrosion hope that will not turn out to a problem spot for all Camaros down the road
