Same here. Diode ftw. And I like the side skirts but not enough to change splash guards.

Ugh I got a little over zealous with the heat gun. I used some aluminum foil as flashing and it was going really well. I got the chrome piece on and inserted the button back into place and decided I wanted to try and take out the last little scratch I could see. I definitely left the heat on too long and warped the start button and a piece of the dash. Currently shopping for a new dash piece and a new ZL1 start button. Anybody have any idea what that part number is for that dash piece?

Still feeling like an idiot, but I would have wanted to replace that dash piece if the heat gun didn’t work anyways. I’m just bummed it was near perfect and I let the perfectionist in me come out and screw me yet again haha.

We set a record here in Charlotte, NC as well. The previous record was 91 and we hit 99 today. My thermometer showed 103 in the shade today though. Crazy for October.

The DDs are looking to be the right option after reading all of the positive reviews on this thread. The rock guards are more important to me than the skirts anyway.

Thanks Adam! I had a feeling you would have this info. New dash panel is on order from GMPartsDirect for ~200 with shipping. New ZL1 button on order from Phastek as well. An expensive mistake, but I'm making it right! Stressful day

Yeah the trim panel runs around 130-150 depending on where get it, plus shipping and fees.

We all make mistakes. I’ve made a few myself lol.

Replicas I believe. What ever they sell at PK auto .Liquid silver for the finish, need to be different.
