Question On Selling Wheels & Tires

So have any of you guys ever sold your OEM Wheels & Tires as a package? I'm looking at getting different wheels and tires. I have have zero use for the ones on my car now. They are the OEM wheels, but powder coated black. They are wrapped in the Continental Extreme Contacts with I'd say 75% or greater tread left.

Yes, many times. I just list the tires and wheels on Craigslist and they usually sell pretty fast- as long as you don't ask too much. I have seen guys sell them on these forums too.

I just list the tire size, brand tire, wheel size, width and offset (if you know it). Then how much tread depth there is. Take some good pictures, post the ad and they will be gone.

What do you think looking at my pic do you think is a fair price? I'd have to get the tread depth, but I think at least 75% left. They are powder coated black. I have no idea what to ask.

Same rims, similar situation. I like my wheels but I would love to get into a set of replicas. The issue is that I would never let my current wheels go for any less than $8-900. The tires alone cost well over that to buy them. I haven't even bothered listing them because I don't know if I would ever get that much, then the hassle of trying to find someone local, etc., etc.

I agree with krops, $8-900 is realistic. You may be asked to separate the tires and the wheels, be ready with an answer.

Ya, I want the MRR Replica ILE wheels. I was all set and talked myself into waiting until my current tires are warn out. Then upgrade when I needed new rubber. Well... It seems I can't wait. (or I don't really want to). So I thought if I could sell mine then I'd be ok with it.

Well, I could separate them right away and list them as being able to be purchased together or separate. That way I could steel the TPMS as well and not have to buy new ones of those too.

I just recently sold my stockers (exactly like yours, powdercoated and ceramic coated black) for 800$. the tires and wheels (the new coating) had less than 4k on them when I sold them.

add them to the facebook marketplace pages. I had them on the forum for over a year before someone finally bit on facebook

Oh wow... you had them for sale on the forum and Facebook Market Place for over a year? Or for sale on the forum for over a year then listed them on Facebook Market Place and sold the right away?

I would think the market for used Camaro wheels is pretty small.

I had them on camaro6 and camaro5 for over a year. I listed them on Facebook, got 5 hits in 2 months and sold them locally.

Gotcha... I'd just try to sell them locally. I'm not on Facebook. I'd have to try Craigslist.
