There really are some great deals to be had. I bought my 2017 in March, stickered at $40,248 (White 2LT/RS V6 Auto with convenience package/adrenaline red interior/bright silver wheels/rally stripes) and negotiated down to $26,500.

Jeez, you really got a good deal at that price. Similar used models around me are going for $30k. I don't know how i could possibly convince a dealer to go that low.

When are the '19 models supposed to hit dealers? I have been eyeing a V6 1LE but I cant justify the purchase yet... if I can get a steal on on it I might just pull the trigger.

Please tell me your secrets, I've talked to 2 dealers and couldn't even get them down to $35,000 on a similar model.

If you play your cards right you can get a good deal on a 18 right now. There are the incentives they advertise for the public and then the programs the dealers get on certain inventory, and with the 19s coming the dealers are getting $4000-5000 off on Camaro.
You have to work with a smaller dealer who hits their regional program number every month so they have the pull with their GM rep to make the deal. Your big dealerships wont work on the deal that hard, and if they aren’t selling well every month they may not have the target sales credits to apply to your deal. I offered $40k for my car (before tax & title), it stickered for $47,115. Almost pulled the trigger on a grey or white 1SS 1LE at two other dealers who would do $38,080 on cars that listed for $45,300 |

I agree there are some good rebates on the '18s. I picked up a 1SS 1LE for just over 39,000. I've seen quite a few dealers around here offering rebates on them. Some of the cars have been on the lots for a while, mine just came off the truck (actually had to wait a week to pick it up).

I know where there are 5 1SS 1LE (2 Hyper Blue, 1 Garnet Red, 1 white and 1 black), within 5 miles of where I sit. The red, white and black were delivered same day as mine (less than 3 weeks ago). All are currently shown under 39k with rebates. Of course you may not get all available discounts, but they're out there. It should be a long drive though based on your location.

The last Chevy dealer I went to offered me a 3k Mustang conquest bonus, but I'm not getting rid of my GT. I'm a big big fan of both cars and I want to own both haha. |

QUOTE=Lynix;10299183]You don't need to trade it in to get conquest, just own it.[/QUOTE]
This is true - all you have to do is give the dealer a copy of the registration. It's a great deal - get a new Camaro and keep the old Mustang for crashing at Cars and Coffee! When I bought my 1LE Memorial Day (so far, I think, the best day to buy a Camaro this year), the conquest deal was for just about any make of car. The offers can change on a moment's notice. Besides the Current Offers list at Chevrolet.com, Edmunds.com does a pretty good job of staying on top of available incentives: https://www.edmunds.com/chevrolet/car-incentives.html. In addition, there often are hidden regional incentives that aren't publicized or special manufacturer-supplied "dealer money" support that only the dealer can tell you about. That's why the first question I ask when I walk into a showroom is always about the incentives - so the dealer thinks I already know about them and won't hide them for themselves: "I'm interested in a Camaro SS with the 1LE package, but before we go any further, let's go through the list of all the incentives and rebates you have available now, so I can keep them in mind as we move forward." |
