Manual transmission clutch message in DIC

I apologize because I didn't capture the whole message but over last weekend, i took the ZL1 for a long drive. About 4 hours into the drive and after many stops, i got a message in the DIC that read to something like "manual transmission clutch" plus some other info that i couldn't read well. I can't quite remember but I believe that right before that happen i was about to shift so i was about to fully depress the clutch. Maybe i was too slow so i slightly depress the clutch so it triggered a message?

Anyone know what that would be from? I tried to see if i could get a message by slightly depressing the clutch and keep on it for a few seconds but got nothing new.

Any ideas? Car rides great and during my drive, i had no issues. I still drive about 7 more hours to compete the round trip. No issues. I am just curious at this point.

Were you in 1st gear at low RPM and low speed when you went to shift? If so it could have been the skip shift notification. Of not that i'm not sure.

No i know the skip shift message. I was in 4th gear if i recall correctly going about 45 mph. The message literally started with manual transmission clutch and then it said something else that i didn't get a chance to read

I wonder if the DIC message you saw relates to the clutch slipping.

This thread may have some relevance to your situation.

You didn't mention how many miles are on your ZL1 and whether or not is has any performance mods.

Car has about 13500 miles/ stock aside RotoFab Intake. I am not having any issues with reduced power. I want to say that when the message came up, i had my foot on the clutch either just taking too long to fully engage the clutch since i was just cruising. Is there out there a list of all possible DIC messages?

I guess i answered my own question. I was reading the manual and on page 188, it states that if the clutch is partially engage for an extended time, the DIC would show "MANUAL TRANSMISSION-RELEASE CLUTCH PEDAL". I guess i should pay more attention to not taking so long to shift and my foot on that clutch

That makes sense.

There was thread on here a few years back were an owner could not get his ZL1 to go above 5500 rpm at WOT. The car would just cut power. Turns out the clutch pedal has a sensor and if it senses the slightest bit of pressure on clutch pedal it will limit RPMs. The owner discovered he had a habit of resting his foot on the clutch pedal between shifts (aka riding the clutch). Once he started removing his foot off the pedal the car redlined at the normal rpm.
