So what fried it leaving it disconnected for so long ?

Did the positive cable ground out by accident against something ?

Did you reinstall the battery cables in the wrong order?

Jekyll n hyde... I didn't do anything wrong except leave it disconnected for so long. From what they stated doesn't happen often but it happens. Because I stated I discoonnected it to paint my trim bezel they couldn't warranty it. They helped me out on diagnostic n repair hours though.

That is mod-hell. Had a tuner shop (RPM in Garner,NC) blow up my CTS-V for me. Told me to pound sand with a lean tune, fried piston and split cylinder. Told me that I must have gotten bad gas. From shell? Any way...$4k later.....lesson learned. Sorry for the OP's luck...definitely been there.
