Made my own version of LED side marker lights

Followed another members thread and figured I'd give it a shot. I bought a used complete set off EBay for $20 in case I messed up. it couldn't get them to seperate right using the oven so i used a dremel tool to seperate them. got the 100 led 1mm led bars from radiantz.com, cut them into 40, expoyed them to the back of the housing and connected them to the bulb connectors in the housing. primed, painted and gloss clear coated them. might try and polish them with a headlight restore kit, it worked with the nightshades I painted my tailights with.

If I remember correctly you can DIY for about $100 right?
Found the DIY thread: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=177650

EDIT:
$131 for all four LED strips
$12 for the base
