Tail of the Dragon Camaro Rally 2019

Hey everyone. I am organizing a trip to the Tail of the Dragon and would like to invite anyone else who wants to join up with us to come along. We have about 21 cars now. Come meet up with is. Here are the details.

When June 21st, Friday & June 22nd Saturday
Where: Tail of the Dragon/ Deals Gap NC
Itinerary: Friday AM meet up on either side of the Dragon depending on participants. Ride the Dragon a few times before heading out Moonshiner’s 28 to the dam. Photo ops for the group. Lunch back at the Deals Gap motorcycle bbq pit. Ride the Dragon in the afternoon and dinner at the Tapoco Resort.

Saturday: Meet up at the Dragon once again then caravan out to the Snake. After driving the Snake head back to Deals Gap and finish the day on the Dragon for those who are participating both days.

Please send me a private message with your contact number and post your attendance here on this thread. I will respond with my wireless number and update this thread and communicate through text all info as the date approaches. Lets make this one of the best rallies the Tail has ever seen.

Love that color! Beautiful car!
Was mad at myself for a long time for not pulling the trigger on a Krypton ZL1!
Then they stopped that color after 1 year...
I snoozed...I lost out.

Thanks. More like they stopped after two months! Total production was 127 cars.

Count me in unless something comes up and can probably bring at least 4 or 5 other camaro's with me. There are new sections that opened up this past winter that have great views with good photo ops. if you wanted ride those. Sounds like a lot of fun.

You're going to do the Dragon and Snake on the same day?
What about the Cherohala Skyway?

Friday is the Tail, Saturday is the Snake. Depending on who stays on more than one day the Skyway is in our plans for Sunday before we head for Nashville. Great ride.

Update, less than 2 months away. Plans are to move forward and a good number of cars are scheduled to attend. I have gotten contact information from a number of owners already. If you haven't sent me a private message please do so. I will provide you a wireless number and send more information on meeting time and place as the date gets closer. Depending on where most drivers are coming from I will choose a meeting place. Either Deal’s Gap or the opposite end of the Dragon down by the water. Stay tuned, it’s going to be a great ride!

Ran the Dragon about a half dozen times before we moved out west. Absolutely a blast!

Might be interested. Has there been any plans for a group rate at a local hotel or what not?
