ZL1 Seats !!!

Hello,

Is there anyone who know how to modify shitty seats in ZL1?

It does not recline all the way and it feels like I am looking down the road from way up there instead of looking at it !

I love this car but the seats !

Using the search tab comes in handy, but sometimes you have to dig some too.

??? I mean if you "gangsta ride" in your seats that might be an issue. But sitting up with good posture and control of the car the seats recline more than enough (coming from a person who is over 6'2")

I ride slightly reclined in mine and don't have any issues at all.

Please don't track it in that position.

You just broke the #1 rule of this forum. Telling someone with 4 posts to search. But thanks for the link.

...and that's all you have is a slight recline.

I will add to this thread that Chevy fixed this issue with the 2019 ZL1.

You can get your gansta lean on now...

I sat in an '18 1SS 1LE yesterday to test out the recline and yes...WTF it reclines a heck of a lot less than it should. But it reclines far enough back for me nonetheless.

I agree. I don’t think I’d of noticed it had I not read about it on the forum.

You would have noticed right off after you owned it. It didn't need much more but did need at least a little.

Now there is plenty of tilt and I don't even go to the limit.

But it was funny on the long drive from Detroit to Houston my wife complained the passenger seat didn't go all the way back because she wanted to nap. She heard me talking about how the seat went back now and expected it to go totally flat.

That and the auto seat cooling are two of my favorite new features.

I'll have to see if my 1LE has similar recline limitations.. it does have dum non-adjustable (other than up/down) headrest.. hello tracks requires helmets.

Perhaps I am old; I don't understand "gangsta lean" in a high performance vehicle. I could care less about what/how someone's opinion of my driving position relates to my car. I am always in a position to drive spiritedly (if I so choose) and to immediately defend myself and my car against way too many inept drivers.

In a competitive situation, this goes without saying. Why would anyone place themselves in a less than optimum position when driving a car like this... To look cool?

Muzzle discipline ladies and gentlemen.

FWIW, these Recaros fit me like a glove. Outstanding bolstering, alcantara grip, cooling and adjustability... A little overweight but, Daddy like!

I personally don’t think wanting a little more recline means you’re after a “gangsta lean”. These things recline an abnormally small amount. I feel like they could use a little more myself, and it seems like GM agrees. Though it hasn’t been enough for me to tear into them to drill out that stop. I may eventually, but haven’t felt the need so far.

Otherwise, the Recaros are awesome. A little lumbar adjustment would be nice, but I’m still pretty young. Not a requirement yet.
