Believe it is separate. I like the blacked out look.... just not the flow tie. A 2020 newer with That blacked out would look sick.

As has been mentioned, that is a 2019 car. It has a couple of unique/distinct aspects to it. The "center" of the grille is blacked out and it has the Chevy emblem in the center of the main beam. If you want to replicate this on a 2020 or newer, you would need to do a swap of the center beam, paint it, and also remove the trim under the headlights to have that paint matched as well.

If you don't care about the larger bowtie on the beam, just have the beam and trim pieces under the headlights painted.

EDIT: Just realized that you do NOT need to paint the center beam if you swap one in from a 2019 as it will already be black in color (unless you buy it new and maybe they still need to be painted?).

Actually there are thousands of people that like the look of it. :-)

And yes it's A Separate piece that can be ordered and yes it comes black already.
