I would add that this depends where you live. I can only get 91 in Denver but 91 at 6000ft performs equally to 93 at sea level. So there’s no “negative effect” of running 2 pts lower.

Lol, DA hasn't been 6000 ft in Denver since the Ice Age. Right now, 9444.

Thanks for all the responses! We need to do smog every five years so I have sometime. Looks like I might need to buy an extra ECU and use that for a tune. Couple more questions now. How much HP can you get from a tune with CAI, LT and a pulley? These are all things I could replace in a weekend with a case of beer. Worth a weekend once every five years. What about a tune that you can reflash without leaving a trace? I used Teifecta on my ATS-V and never had a problem with the dealer or smog. Just R&R my aftermarket stuff and flash the ecu back to stock. I don’t see the LT4 on their website, only the LT1. I emailed them and waiting a response.

You don't need both sets of cats. I have had a AWE track edition catback on the car since I got it without the secondary cats, no tune. Have had no problem or issue.

+1 on the CAI and TB.

CAI - yes, but you are more often going to screw up the car than improve it.
Headers - no.
Pulley - no.

... and some items in the etc. category:

Throttle body - gives temporary butt dyno improvement, until car relearns and then no better than stock after 2 weeks. When combined with a CAI, increases likelihood of a CEL.

Throttle controller - more likely than not to throw a CEL, but can give butt dyno improvement. Usually a used one pops up on these forum classifieds every month or so.

Bottom line: if you want to improve the car's performance in any way, you'll need a tune. At which point your warranty is toast. Otherwise you're just throwing $ at your car for bling.

Your money, your car. Do whatever makes you happy.

+1 on the CAI and TB.

Hmm. I thought ditching the rear cats caused a CEL. If not, sweet!

Negative. They are not monitored by the ECM.

What about these? Nothing will change the driving dynamics of your car so much for so little...and to your point, no tune.
