NPP on 3" Borla for 2SS?

So I currently have in hand the Borla NPP axel back exhaust, along with the midpipes to match which is going on a 2021 Camaro 2SS with the dual exit exhaust upgrade from factory.

I was looking into returning what I have and going with the 3", however they do not offer an NPP variant of the 3" system, as the exits on the muffler for this system is only 2.25" compared to the normal 2.5" NPP.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get the 3" system modified to work with NPP?

The main issue, is that the Borla NPP is on a 2.5" outlet pipe, and the larger system only has 2.25" piping after the muffler.

I don't want to just get the 2.5" welded to the muffler as that just seems wrong to cut a larger hole and weld to the muffler.

The only other option I see is going with a ZL1 cat-back system from them ID 140727, but I am not sure if the ZL1 version will still fit. On their page, they don't show this as an option for fitting.

Anyone have any inputs?

Is it even worth trying to go for a 3" version? I will be only doing FBO, for a long while with maybe long time from now going supercharged. Curious if the 3" is even worth it or needed.

I would love to make it loud, but still have the ability to drive around my neighborhood without making everyone upset, and I just love the way the Borla sounds.

It's only 1/4 inch difference, I'd rather stick with NPP functionality vs bigger pipe size.

Many guys with headers and FI going to stock mufflers.

Yeah i know its not much, but it seems odd that most companies seem to have 3". Even Borla uses 3" for their ZL1 with NPP, and their non-NPP exhausts are available in 3" as well.

Just to update, the borla atak 2.75" with long tubes is way more than enough. It surprised me how loud it actually gets. Even with NPP on Tour mode it is loud.

For anyone else reading this the ZL1 Cat-back will fit the SS with no issues. The only difference is they remove the resonators and upsize it to 3'' because of the power output of the ZL1.
