Seems like many on here are running wider tires than the stock 245, 275. Same thing with the Charger and Challenger. Both under tired as well. When I try launching I end up starting to go sideways. |

Generally, as tires get wider and the wheels don't, lateral (sideways) stability drops off. It's not just cornering that is affected. Norm

I would suggest checking out the tire sub-forum here for more opinions.
But generally Michelin and Continental tires get favorable reviews. Goodyears... not so much. I suspect there may be a bit of anti-goodyear bias here, as many of us are not happy with the run-flats which originally came with the car. |

My .02 from putting 35k on my 2SS (now sold) since new in 2018.
The OEM run flats stick like glue on warm dry pavement. They are loud and hard - you feel the bumps. The summer only run flats suck in rain and combined with sub 60's temps - do not present a pleasurable driving experience. The Michelin PS 3+ A/S are not as loud, good rain - colder temp tires. They stick very well - but are not like the OEM summer only run flats. Good all season tire. I would have bought them again. Tire pressure is a really critical element I found. Running 33 PSI cold on the PS 3's is far different from running 37 PSI cold. I liked 37 PSI the best. That takes trial and testing - but a little higher pressure makes a huge improvement.

Yea, I've heard that about run flats too. Funny, at my part time job I have at a grocery story a guy with an Audi hit one of our moon crater size pot holes today in the parking lot and busted one of his tires. However, he was going to get new tires because his were worn pretty bad I heard, cracking and balding so he was VERY happy when he was told the company is paying for his new tires since he can't just replace one obviously. That is the alarming part though. it's raining like crazy here in Florida, always does in the summer and you're driving on worn out tires and it was a nice audi too. Either the guy is too cheap or clueless, or is one of those who buys the nice car but can't afford maintenance on them. Usually those get repoed eventually. That's why you see newer luxury cars when repoed they don't have good maintenance. Hmmm. I could use a new set of tires! |

Head on over to that pothole LOL. BTW the GY RunFlats are not that bad. The only issue I had with them is they only lasted 12K miles which in my case wasn't to bad since I only have 13K miles on it now after 4 years. I did get the Pilot 4 S tires but I miss not having the security of Runflats. |
