You got to open that border first. Depends what you want to see or do. Not much for events this year again, nothing here that takes all day to see. In the NY side of thousand islands Cape Vincent and Clayton are nice and ABay is tourists and drinking. The best thing is Boldt Castle and if you can take the Ferry from Kingston to Wolfe Island to the Cape.
Sackets Harbor is really picturesque With the Marina and Battle field and Museum right on the water. Driving up to the Adirondacks is better if you can spend the night if you are going to Lake Placid especially. Old Forge like Placid is really neat but super busy, make sure to go in the Hardware store.
Tupper, Saranac or Cranberry are all excellent scenery but just mountain towns with not much going on.

There are a few things i want to do, but they require the border to be opened and people who run the country to be less SCARED.

One is the Dream Cruise in Detroit, the other taking a trip for my anniversary somewhere in the NE USA.

Thanks for your response. Very helpful.

I always liked the drive around Cayuga lake. Your trip must include a s stop at the Rongovian Embassy in Trumansburg.

Looks like that place closed down years ago.
