Chrome 2019 wheels ...
I'm an old school guy and really like chrome wheels. Sadly in 2019 Chevy doesn't see things the same way. So I went the route of picking the wheels I liked and had them chromed. Wow, I couldn't be much happier.

Looks great, have to agree with the chrome, I'm old school as well. Sadly, today polished aluminum seems to be considered the equivalent, but you've proved them wrong. Great job.

They are actually easier to keep clean than when they were just polished aluminum. I'll take a side shot tonight so you can see both wheels. Here's the before ...

Looks Great! If I may ask; how much did it cost to have them chromed?

Nice! I am a fan of black wheels but my GF absolutely loves chrome wheels and would love the look. She has chrome wheels on her Silverado. I can't show her your wheels as she would want me to do the same with my Camaro's wheels, LOL!

It was $180 a piece to get them chromed. Based on the price of aftermarket wheels I thought that was pretty reasonable.

Chrome is like an old pair of Levi’s, nothing else quite ever fits the same! Well done!

As mentioned earlier, I'll take a picture or two tonight so you can see the entire side and I'll get a better close up of the wheel itself.
Mr Chrome in California did the application on mine. I worked with Ron and he was outstanding. I needed the wheels back by a certain date because I was going on the Hot Rod Power Tour and it'd be a tough trip without wheels. Ron gave me a timeline up front and was excellent on keeping me up to speed on the progress. I'm in Northern Wisconsin so my options nearby were just not there. Shipping was $190 each way so the total cost was approx. $1,120. Yeah that's not cheap but you'll only get cheap knockoffs for the same price and they'll most likely be a heavier wheel. |
