Should I use the GM College Discount?
I recently completed my college degree after leaving the military and have learned that GM has special pricing for college students and recent graduates. It amounts to about $1500 off MSRP based on 2019 2SS pricing. From what I understand, it's the same discount as Supplier/Military pricing. I also should be able to take advantage of any offers GM has active upon delivery.
I'm ordering a 2020 next week and I would like to get pricing figured out at the same time. Should I begin by trying to haggle for Invoice pricing or lower, without even mentioning the Student Discount, saving it as a failsafe? Or should I start with the Student Discount and see if they can do better? How much should I reasonably expect a dealer to come off MSRP when ordering a new model year car?

There are probably other discounts out there as well. Supplier pricing plus one or two other discounts. BeckyD on this site could give you the correct info. It's tough to haggle on a 2020 which isn't even out yet, but now is the time you could do that on a 2019.
Becky can also place this order for you, track it in her thread and have it delivered to a dealership near you. She's will always get you all available discounts. |
