I also think some of the problem could be with the TCM program and how it allows TC slip.

I don't think the 2019 SS modesl get the same A10 that is used in the ZL1. I wonder if there were design changes (improvements?) for the new A10 in the 2019 SS Camaros that will be retrofitted back to the A8s?

If they tell me I have to wait till 2019 I will just start the lemon law procedure and be done with it.
Be prepared for them to send you on your way with nothing being done. I have had my A8 rebuilt, fluid flushed twice, once during the rebuild and once during the transmission lines being replaced, shudder and crappy shifting is back. I am not even bothering at this point until this "fix" comes around...we shall see, not too confident whatever they come up with will actually work.

I had the flush done like everyone else and the shudder is back worse than ever.

My main concern is knowing if this doing any real damage to the transmission?

Anyone know?

The 10L80 for the Camaro is a near replica of the 10R80 reference design Ford just put in the 2018 Mustangs -- and it hasn't been doing well. Though I will say the level of customer complaints hasn't reached 8L90 levels yet.

The 10L90 in the ZL1 is overkill, but it works. GM should've just left it alone and used the 10L90 everywhere they are trying to stick the 10L80 and 8L90v2 (I'm calling it v2 because it has mechanical and software differences).

Got mine back from the dealer Saturday after tranny flush with TC replacement.

I didn't realize how bad the shudder had gotten. Tranny shifts smoother in 1,2,3 and accelerating around 50+ is free of the running over rumble strips feeling.

Now the real question is how long will it last and how long will it take GM to come up with real solution not a bandaid.

Here is my invoice. You guys see anything on it I missed in my hurry to GTFO there.

Though the highlight of my Saturday besides getting the car back was this letter from my state's Attorney General office to GM regarding my complaint on their lack of repair action and stopping TC replacement.

Why did they use Dexron HP to address the shudder problem? That is the old non-synthetic fluid. The new synthetic fluid that was recommended for the flush is Mobil 1 LV...

Thought I dodged the shudder bullet. 21000 miles and here we go. Going to the dealer in the AM. My BIL is the service manager, so I am gonna see what he can tell me bout this new "fix" they have coming. Between 60 and 80 is it terrible. Above or below, all good.

Did I miss something, but I don't see TC replacement on that invoice? They stopped doing replacements until 1st quarter 2019 for the supposed "fix".

My appointment for the flush is Thursday. They are treating this new "fix"like nuclear launch codes. All my BIL would tell me is that it is something that hasn't already been done and it is supposed to eliminate the problem. He said the vehicles they have been seeing with the most problems are the Colorados.

Unfortunately I'm now in the second time club. Had mind flushed about 8K miles ago and it's back and getting worse by the day. I'm also having them look at the grown when truing right when the car is cold for a second time.

This sucks. I really like the car with the exception of these 2 issues. My question since I'm 8K miles and 4 months away from the 3/36 is how will the impending re-occurrence be treated? Hopefully it'll be covered under the 5/50. Hate to say it but I'll probably be letting this one go either next year or the following at the latest. I had really hoped to keep this one into retirement.

The drivetrain will still be covered under the 5yr/60k mile warranty.
