After i did my ARH + HF cats, and an AWE touring kit, the car was WAYYYYY to loud with drone, so i added a magnaflow center X muffler that not only eliminated the drone, but it really deepened the exhaust tone, and I receive TONS of compliments and questions about the tone, anytime im out... the cam also helps

If you are only wanting better idle volume, but quite WOT volume, consider a set of electric cut-outs before your mufflers.
Interesting, I have 2" Kooks headers, GESI high flow cats, and AWE resonated touring catback and have ZERO drone. It is loud though. Not sure if its because you didn't have resonators or if the ARH headers have a different exhaust note.

Same here, and zero drone as well. Even when I run catless for the strip, zero drone then too. Was loud AF before I installed the Magnaflow center muffler though.

Hey Josh, is it this part (2x): https://www.magnaflow.com/products/1...muffler-18125? I'm toying with the idea to tone down cold starts and to deepen the tone a wee bit...

Hey Arpad

Negative, I believe this is the one I had my shop use:
https://www.magnaflow.com/products/1...-muffler-12469

I’d suggest that you only let a trusted shop who is good with fabrication do the work. It’s a tight fit that was made worse by my 3.5” aluminum driveshaft. If you’re still running a 2-piece DS it might fit a little easier.

There's a whole thread about this. Lots to read.

I’ve got the exact same setup as Zoh6 and it sounds AWEsome ()!! 2” Kooks -> GESI Cats -> AWE resonators-> AWE Touring. The result is a both deep and loud, but not obnoxiously loud, which was one of my concerns going with LT headers. I added the G-Sport GESI cats because of the additional sound dampening as well as odor control. I also purchased & have (on the shelf) the Jones X pipe muffler that was referenced by many as helping keep the “loudness” from getting out of hand. For now, I’m leaving it on the shelf as the Z sounds phenomenal. IMO, If you’re considering a true muscle car sound, this setup is spot on.

Prior to this, I had stock headers -> stock primary cats -> AWE Performance Link Pipes (secondary cat delete) -> AWE resonators-> AWE Touring. TBH, it sounded outstanding as well. Louder and deeper than stock for sure. If you have / choose this option, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed at all. Overall, AWE has been a solid improvement. Keep us updated and good luck!!

The 8" long dual center muffler that Josh has.

I was a little concerned about the overall length of the 11" version that Sakudog used for his ZL1 1LE, his photos show he has very little room left at the rear end. I hope the 8" variant will make enough of a difference with my SS and the factory NPP exhaust.

Oh, and I need to find a decent muffler shop in the area by the time the part arrives, although I may try the body shop at my favorite local dealership, their service department has been fantastic so far.
